You know how it is. You hear the stories about the meteorite that went right by Earth... and think to yourself: "Man (or woman)! I would love to be able to see the effects of an asteroid hitting Earth!". Well, now you can, thanks to this little website from Purdue University.
It actually does not display the impact in a simulation format, but it gives all the impact consequences in graphic detail.
Did you like it?

Same sick entertainment segment as a game I have just downloaded for my ipad: "Plague Inc" from the aptly named Ndemic creations. This simulation game allows you to adjust variables of a plague, firts choice being whether you will be a bacteria, virus, parasite or other life form. Then you choose transmission parameters, virulence, mortality, etc. The choice is finite (you spend "dna points" for each adjustment, this is the main attractive of the game, trading off features and seeing how well your evil creation performs). The objective of the game is to infect and kill the human race before the scientists produce a cure - you have indicarors that count healthy, infected and dead peope, and another one which tells you how close the scientists are to developing a cure. Its like the Sims, version Quentin Tarantino.
